Memorial Service

While Shirley was interred today in the Dahlke family plot in the tiny cemetery off Highway 73 and East Bluff Road in Neshkoro, Wisconsin, there will be a memorial service and reception to follow.

As Shirley's coffin was being lowered into the grave, an eagle sored overhead, making several circles over the grave, and the people in attendance.

The memorial service will be held for Shirley D. Erickson, along with a photographic retrospective of her paintings, on June 18, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro, Wisconsin.

  1. Great stuff, Karyn. I love the eagle fly-by... !
Love the yellow roses, too... They are bright and sunny, but they also mean (at least in Russia) "I miss you"... One of the paintings she did for you specifically was the Sunflowers!

  2. I have purchased a home that your father designed at 280 Deer Ridge Lane in Snowmass Village, Co. It was built in 1986 and designed in the previous two years. It features a 40' round space that is about 25' tall and lots of stone walls inside and out. There must be 20 round spaces and features in the house. I wonder if you know of any of the history of this home. I think it was built for a woman named Barbara Truelick and was called TrueLodge. I could send you pictures if you like.
